We bid farewell to Margaret Mary Mattamira of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 4, 2024 at the age of 89. Margaret touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Strype and Margaret Magee Strype; her husband Vincent Mattamira; her siblings, Richard Strype (Mary), William "Reggie" Strype (Catherine), Raymond Strype (Dorothy), Joseph Strype (Joan), Vincent Strype (Joan), Gerard Strype (Patricia), Michael Strype and Josephine Ford (Edward); and her siblings-in-law, Ralph Lancellotti, Joyce Strype and Ellen Strype.

She is survived by: her children, Vincent Mattamira (Lisa) and Doretta Ertmann (Thomas); her grandsons, Joseph Mattamira (Christine) and Michael Mattamira; her siblings, Mary Strype, Natalie Clark (Pete), Regina Lancellotti, George Strype, John Strype (Patricia) and Robert Strype; and her sister-in-law Barbara Strype. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the All Saints Cemetery (6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Peggy may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
