He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John Pittam and Martha Pittam (Wedman); his daughter Carolyn Smith; and his sons-in-law, Herbert, Russell and Vernon Bingham.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Adamarie; his wife Freda J Pittam (Grindstaff); his children, John D Pittam Jr. of Havre, Cynthia D Dominick (John IV) of Elkton Md and Janet E Bingham of Milton De; and his great grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Erin Smith of Havre, Angela Johnson (Christopher) of Havre, Bradley Pittam, Sara Pittam, Eric J Dominick (Cheryl) of Middletown De, Adam F Dominick (Ashley) of North East, MD, John N White, Joshua W White of Darlington, Destiny Crandall, Greyson Dominick, Chandler Dominick, Aubrey Johnson, Aiden Johnson and Day'lynn Christy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's name to the First Baptist Church.
