It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol S. Ewing of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, born in Ashland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiliam F. Smith and Mabel Smith (Balliet); her husband Robert A. Ewing; her son Robert A. Ewing, Jr.; and her brother William A. Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Ewing Ruff (Fred) of Lewes, DE and Julie Ewing Jolley (Brandon) of Leander, TX; her granddaughters, Jillian Schuler (Phillip) and Chelsea Thornton (Joshua); and her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Danica, Laylah Rose Thornton and Kendall Schuler.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, or Miriam's Table, PO Box 402, Lewes, DE 19958, or any charity of choice.

“To Kathy & Julie, My Christmas card to your mother was returned to me a few minutes ago. We were in Epworth's choir together for 3 years about a decade ago, went to lunches, enjoying each other's company immensely. She was such fun. We still have a place @ Sweetbriar, but I have been too lame to go down for about 5 yrs. We live in West Chester. PA. She was always so happy when you got to spend birthdays together & I know you miss her. She was one of my very favorite people. We know she's w/God”
