With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Hopkins Prettyman Sr. (Odessa, Delaware), born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Hopkins Prettyman Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B Prettyman Sr. and Mary Laura Downes Prettyman; his son Eddie Prettyman; and his grandsons, Brian Sr. and Matthew.

He is survived by: his wife Jennie Prettyman; and his children, William "Billy" Prettyman, Mary Lynch (Dave), Sharon Ellwood and Joanie Messick (Neal). He is also survived by his stepchildren, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Odessa Fire Hall (304 Main St, Odessa, DE 19730). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of their choice in his memory.
