She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward John Pawlasky and Sophie Jean Pawlasky (Sikorski). She is survived by: her husband Stephen A. Kern; her children, Michael Hess, Lisa Watkins, Mark Hess and Kelly Bebout; and her siblings, Robert Pawlasky, Barbara Poserina and Kathy Juchno. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
