Marie Cullen Obituary

Marie M. Cullen, age 86, of Ocean View, DE formerly of Bucks County, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. Marie worked a variety of jobs in her younger years; however, her primary vocation was raising her family and helping on the family farm. Marie was an avid gardener, she and her husband James opened the produce stand on Muddy Neck Road in Ocean View before his passing in 1993.

Mrs. Cullen was a selfless, caring and compassionate woman that always put others first. She was a caregiver to her mother-in-law, Dorothy Cullen, her husband, James her mentally handicapped daughter, Star and cousins Ann and Tommy Littleton before their passing. Marie enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and was an amazing cook.

She will be remembered for her fried chicken, lemonade and ice tea. Marie was also a Philadelphia Eagles fan, which never missed a game on the television and also collected all types of memorabilia of the team. Marie will be missed by all those that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cullen, Jr.; two daughters, Cheryll A. Schussler and Starlee J. Cullen and a brother, John Baehr.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberlee M. Cullen of Ocean View, DE; two sons, James E. Cullen, III of Ocean View, DE and Scott A. Cullen of Frankford, DE; three grandchildren, Rachel Cullen, Ryan Schussler, Scott A. Cullen, Jr. and two great grandchildren, Elliana Cullen and Eric Jackson. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family may call after 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Mariner's Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View, DE.
