It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Abernethy of Ocean View, Delaware, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Kenny and Stevie Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Abernethy; her daughters, Shannon Hendrickson (Michael) of Nottingham, PA and Kendra Stengel of Millville, DE; her sister Barbara Jo Prewitt of Rising Sun, MD; and her grandchildren, Samantha Huston, Harleigh Hendrickson, Nichole Brown, Mikey Hendrickson, Camron, Garrett, Chloe Stengel, Emily Cropper, Jeffrey Cappi, Julia Cappi, Abby Abernethy, Jayden Fisher, Tyler, Brielle Fisher-Miller, Dylan Abernethy, Lilly, Livia, Laila Abernethy, James and Maisey Watts.
In lieu of flowers and because of Linda's love of animals, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name for the Abernethy Pets to Millville's Pet Stop at 35167 Atlantic Ave. Millville, DE 19970 (302-539-9382) via prepaid gift cards, over the phone contributions and/or in person.
