He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Thorne Jr. and Mary Thorne (Bortzel). He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Thorne (Seward); his children, Alexander Thorne of Millville, DE and Jacqueline Iacovella (Al) of Doylestown, PA; his grandsons, Robert and Nicolas Iacovella; his sister Kathleen Hochman of Chevy Chase, MD; and his nieces and nephews, Shannon and Sean.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Melson's Funeral Home (38040 Muddy Neck Rd, Ocean View, DE 19970). A prayer was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in the memory of Jack Thorne to one of the following charities: Beebe Medical Foundation, designating donations towards cardiac care or heart failure programs. The Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation.
