He was predeceased by: his daughter Joy Backert. He is survived by: his wife Carol S. Goodhand; his daughters, Jill Wirtz, Kathy Cottingham (Gary), Christina Vogel (Steve) and Jenna Carter (Jerry); his son-in-law John Backert, Jr.; his grandchildren, Shannon Williams, Orvie Thumel, Niki Andrew, John Backert, III, Nickalos Cornell, Tyler Cornell and Kyle Vogel; and his great grandchildren, Tayler, Devin, Lily, Lennon and Winter.
