It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Joseph Daniel Bird of Ocean View, Delaware, born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sons, Martin William Bird of Linden, VA and Christopher Daniel Bird of Plymouth Meeting, PA.; and his parents, Herbert Edward Bird and Estelle Irene Havice. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Mansuy "Peggy" Swetnam of Ocean View, DE; his children, Diana Lynn Martin (Don Simpson) of Phoenix, AZ, Dawn Lee Tropea (Angelo) of Thorndale, PA, David Scott Bird (Lisa) of Millville, DE and Cynthia Patricia Howland (Matt) of North Dighton, MA; and his brother Richard Edward "Dick" Bird of Pinola, CA. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family.
