He was predeceased by: his parents, John Darrell and Dana Welch (Kilgore); his son Freddie Welch; and his sister Dormis Skeen. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Lee Welch of Ocean View; his children, Daryl Ann Hartung (Rick) of Owings, MD, Darrell Gene Welch (Judy) of Hyattsville, MD and Michael Anthony Welch of Crofton, MD; and his sisters, Doris Hartsock and Polly Odel-Horne. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
