He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Long and Maddie Long (Cooper); his great-great-grandparent David James Long; his siblings, Horace, Florence, Edna, Tink and Madelyn; and his pet Ali.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Long (McCabe); his children, David J. Long Jr. (Sara Beth) of Ocean View, DE and Dawn Barnes (Terry) of Bedford, PA; his grandsons, David J. Long, III (Kristy), Benjamin Barnes and Andrew Barnes; and his great grandchildren, Summer Long, Courtney Long, Hunter Barnes and Remi Barnes.
