With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Rickards of Ocean View, Delaware, who passed away on October 7, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond "Rick" J. Rickards, Jr.; and her siblings, James Earl "Jack" Megee, Clayton Megee and Dee Burbage. She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Browne (Mark); her grandchildren, Van Browne (Lisa), Shawn Mize, Adison, Abott, Ashton, Ayven Browne, Sydney and Luke Mize; her siblings, Douglas L. Megee and Mary Jane Megee; and her nieces and nephews, Gregory Burbage, Douglas Megee, Jr., Jackie Wade, Dawn Fields Turner and Pamela Fields Price.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Betty Jean's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or Millville Volunteer Fire Company, 35554 Atlantic Ave., Millville, DE 19967.
