He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Beattie and Catherine McGreevey Beattie; his daughter Selina Kathleen Beattie; and his siblings, Robert H. Beattie, Marian Beattie Coleman and Mary Helena Beattie.
He is survived by: his wife Alice M. Stanton Beattie; his children, William J. Beattie, III (Tim) and Denise E. Beattie; and his sister Georgianna Donlin. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
