He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Faith Mathis, (Lemke) and Harry R. Mathis, Jr.; his wife Kim Mathis; his children, Lindsay Brown (Daniel) of Rock Hill, SC, Kasey Mathis of Wilmington, Theresa Needham (Brad) of Wilmington and Connor Mathis of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Alexis, Bradford, Kyah, Madison, Skylar, Hailey, Carter, John, Zoey, Lucy, Claire and Cate; his great grandchildren, Haven and Sawyer; and his brothers, Jeffrey Mathis of Lewes and Scott Mathis of Newark.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Newark Country Club (300 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the University of Pennsylvania, Neurology Dept.
