He was predeceased by: his daughter Amy Fehl Conway; his parents, Herman Fehl and Lorraine Fehl; his sister Joan Davis; his aunt Pearl; and his uncle Reggie Gary.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Fehl; his children, Nancy Clough (Merritt III) and Ron Fehl (Toni); his sisters, Peggy Alfree (Larry), Lois Kelley and Betty Jane Buck; his grandchildren, Katie Casey (John III), Kellie Conway, Macy Fehl, Jackson Fehl, Rachael Clough and Emma Kate Fehl; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Miller, Jesse Norman Jr. and John Casey IV.
