It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert William Welch Jr. (Newark, Delaware), born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Rita McColligan Welch; and his siblings, Anne and James. He is survived by: his children, Margaret (Terry), Robert, III (Sharon), Joseph (Rebecca) and Patricia; his grandchildren, Terry, Jessica, Colin, Katie, Robert IV, Laura, Christina, Elizabeth, Marlo, Farrell, Alexandria, Rita, Virginia, Josephine, Vivian, Bridget and Julia; and his siblings, Charles (Rose), John (Thom), Thomas (Tonia), Richard (Jeanne) and Martha (David). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bob's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF.org).
