Irby of Newark, Delaware, born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, who passed away on October 6, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Irby and Frances Wilson (Irby-Hull); his wife Patricia Edwards-Irby; his stepfather Andrew Hull; his brothers, Bobby and Eugene Irby Sr.; and his stepgranddaughter Christina Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Foster (James) and Lamar Irby; his siblings, Jacqueline Irby-Sapp and Bruce Hull; his stepdaughters, Sheila Wright (Dave) and Kelly Proffitt (Dan); his grandchildren, James Jr., Josiah Foster, Nicole Irby and Isabella Irby; his stepgranddaughters, Sarah Wright and Lura Wright; his sister-in-law Nancy Irby; and his nephews, Eugene Irby Jr., William Irby (Imani) and George Irby (Cilicia). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
