It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Vitalo of Newark, Delaware, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vitalo and Philomena Vitalo (Bagnoli); his wife Patricia "Pat"; his son Phillip S; and his siblings, John (MaryAnn), Frank and Patricia Ried.
He is survived by: his daughter Victoria Piane (Robert, Jr.); his grandchildren, Phillip S. Vitalo II, Robert Piane III, Dawn Whiteside (Benjamin) and Sophia Piane; his sister JoAnn Hennessy (Michael); his sister-in-law Maureen Vitalo; and his stepchildren, Debbie Lewis, Chuck Conaway and Johnny Conaway. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
