She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Kemmerling (Herring) and Charles M. Kemmerling; her husband R. Donald Charles; and her daughter-in-law Lauren Charles. She is survived by: her children, R. David Charles of Newark, DE, Richard D. Charles (Terri) of Natick, MA, Gwendolyn E. Charles of Columbia, MD and Robert D. Charles (Cheryl) of Catonsville, MD; and her grandchildren, Sarah Charles, Lindsay Trusheim (Ian), Douglas Charles (Julie), Indigo Denovan, Hector Vergara III (Sydney), Carlos Vergara (Elizabeth), Allison Charles, Daniel Charles and Camden Charles. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
