She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Emerson and Mary Anna Blackburn Emerson; her husband Robert Mason; and her brother George Emerson. She is survived by: her son Roger Reed Mason of North East, MD; and her siblings, Charles Emerson of Bear, DE, Carolyn "Dutch" Jensen of New Castle, DE, Herb Emerson of Jasper, IN and Robert Emerson of Middletown, DE..
