He was predeceased by: his parents, Marge Sakraida (Novak) and Kenneth Sakraida. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Sakraida (Riley); his grandchildren, Morgan Saucier, Gwendolyn Saucier, Gavin Remsa and Wynne Remsa; his siblings, Kathy Sakraida, Mike Sakraida and Vince Sakraida; and also, Ariella, Andy Saucier, Lindsay Sakraida, Tom Hoban, Jennifer and Jon Remsa.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people make a donation to the National Parks Foundation, to honor Joe's love for the country's great parks.
