He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Blackwood and Ruth Blackwood (Mills); and his sister Jane Rucks. He is survived by: his wife Louise Blackwood; his daughter Amanda Gordon; his brother George Blackwood; and his grandchildren, Bryson and Olivia Gordon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
