He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Bedford and Helen Bedford; his sister Dolores Furlong; and his son Rick Bedford. He is survived by: his significant other Terry Bedford; and his children, Ray, Carole (Rich), Cheryl (Steven), Cathy (Joe) and Cindy (Ajay). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
