He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kennedy, and Ellen Kennedy, Sr. (Milking); his daughter Marcella Pope; and his siblings, Thomas Kennedy, Jr., Wilbert Kennedy, Freddie Kennedy and Travestine Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Jean L. Kennedy (Hollis); his children, Denise Newsome (Bennie), Delores Smith, Robert Kennedy (Sharon), Fabian Greene and Johnnie Greene; and his siblings, Eddie Kennedy, Charles Kennedy and Carrie Mae Thomas. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
