It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne D. Battles of Newark, Delaware, born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry DeForce and Katherine DeForce (Wood); her husband Calvin Battles; and her grandsons, James A. Battles, Jr. and Johnny Williams, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, James Battles, Sr. (Patricia), Debra Pyle (David) and Diana Williams (John); her sister Bette Martin; and her grandchildren, Stacey Battles, Jeremiah Williams, Pam Kellogg and David Pyle, Jr.. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
