In loving memory of Jane V. Thornton of Newark, Delaware, born in Elkton, Maryland, who departed this world on May 10, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph W. Savin and Ellen Savin (Norris); her husband John A. Thornton; and her siblings, Joe Savin, Marie Cooling and Doris Farlow.
She is survived by: her sister Nancy Van Den Heuvel (Harry); her children, Susan Fye (Dave) of Milton, John A. Thornton Jr. (Terry) of Newark and Wendy Thornton (Tom Hall) of Middletown; and her grandchildren, Laura Fye Havens, John S. Miller, Jessica Thornton, Virginia Thornton Woloszyn and Shelby Thornton Bell. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
