She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hartley and Helen Hartley (O'Hara); her husband Charles E. Franklin, Sr.; her brother Charles Hartley; and her brother-in-law Donald Franklin.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Franklin, Jr. (Deb), Ruth Preisch (Stan), Dale Franklin, Melba Saxton (Ron) and David Franklin; her grandchildren, Lisa Permenter, Andrew Marker of Kelley Franklin, R. J, Chip Franklin (Sam), Emily Saxton, Josh Franklin, Garrett Preisch (Shelly), Kirsten Costa (Chris) and Amy Brewer (Jeremy); her brother Richard Hartley; and her sister-in-law Shirley Franklin. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to any veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
