He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Huegel and Eileen Huegel. He is survived by: his wife Julie; and his children, Joseph (Amy), Meghan, Gunnar (Hailey), Daniel (Madalyn), Katherine (Landon) and Juliana. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 1703, Elkton, MD 21922.
