He was predeceased by: his former wife Winona Mae S. Read; his parents, Joan Read, and Elmer E. Read, Jr.; his mother-in-law Louise Goddin; his sister MaryBeth Huey; and his sister-in-law Anne White.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth G. "Betsy" Read; his children, Stephen Read (Tara), Frank Smith (Diana) and Christina Read (Marisa); his grandchildren, Aiden, Emma, Breanna, Cailyn and Kenzie; his siblings, Franklin "Bud" Read (Dorinda), Linda Read and Donna Pleasanton; and his brothers-in-law, Jim White and Christopher Huey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
