She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace H. Hurlock (Neal) and James F. Hurlock. She is survived by: her husband Carlton Russell Carey; her children, James (Jim), Carlton Carey (Carl) and Tammy Lea Amos; her grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Carey; and her great grandchildren, Tabitha, Catherine, Violet, Isiah, Nathaniel and Olivia Carey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Doris's name to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org).
