He was predeceased by: his father Robert J. Athey. He is survived by: his mother June S. Athey; his wife Lori J. Athey; his siblings, Linda Lagstrom (Eric) and Robert E. Athey (Linda); his niece Sandy Kiouressis (John); his nephews, Robert D. Athey (Amber) and Scott Lagstrom (Allison); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah, Hayley Lagstrom, Zach Lagstrom and Robert J. Athey II.
