He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Alphonso Cottman and Lethia Cottman. He is survived by: his children, Benevelyn Richardson (Samuel Richardson), Baquendalyn Gulledge, Bernalachell Sawyer (James), Balesia Gulledge and Clayton Gulledge Jr. (Margery); and his siblings, Leitha Cottman Asare, Laura Cottman Furrowh (Larry) and Lowell Cottman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
