He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Elizabeth and Moses Dudley McGowen; and his siblings, Thelma, William Hoyt, George, Bob, Joel and Clyde.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Stanert; his daughters, Diane Dukes, Barbara Miriello and Rebecca Mercer (Bob); his grandchildren, Alex, Wesley Miriello, Evan Jackewicz, Robert James and Anna Beth Mercer; and his siblings, June Jones, Betty McVay and Jim McGowen.
