Betty Joe Cockerham Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Joe Cockerham of Newark, Delaware, born in Galax, Virginia, who passed away on November 11, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Dobyns Trimble and Margie Brook Trimble (Burris); her husband William Rex Cockerham; and her brother Barney Paul Trimble. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Scott Cockerham (Linda), Joe David Cockerham, Christopher Lynn Cockerham (Lourdes) and Michael Brooks Cockerham; and her grandchildren, Christine Alyse Morris, Hailey Brook Cockerham and Cole Michael Cockerham.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R. T. Foard & Jones, Inc. (122 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "American Diabetes Association" sent in care of the funeral home.
