It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred Garret Lawler of Newark, Delaware, who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawler and Margaret Lawler; his wife Marcella Lawler; his grandson Michal McDermott; and his siblings, Dennis F. Lawler, Robert Lawler, Joseph Lawler, William Lawler, John Lawler, Ed Lawler, Sonny Lawler, Daniel Lawler, Peter Lawler, Thomas Lawler, James Lawler and Emma E. Sarkisian.

He is survived by: his daughter Ann Lawler (Ronald Weaverling); his grandchildren, Nicole McDermott, Jennifer McDermott and Matthew McDermott; and his sisters, Joan Corton and Mary Ann Sabatino.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to VFW Post 475 – 100 veterans Drive, Newark, DE19711.
