He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Mullin and Mary Mullin (McGlynn); and his brother Leo Mullin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie T. Mullin (Harkins); his sons, Joseph P. Mullin, Jr. (Angeline) and Patrick M. Mullin (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Theresa Mullin, Margaret Mullin, Evan Mullin, Peyton Mullin and Maura Mullin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
