He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Lane and Rose "Reno" Lane; and his brother Louis Lane. He is survived by: his wife Jeraldine H. Lane; his children, Debra L. Meredith (Brian) of Joppa, Gerald "Jerry" Lane, Jr. (Norma) of Felton, DE and Karen L. Fitzwater (Frank) of Felton, DE; and his nephew Jeffrey David Lane. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
