He is survived by: his son Gary L. Dickens, Jr.; his close friend Deborah Smallwood; his stepchildren, Eve Smallwood and Russell Branum; his sisters, Sheila Lyons and Tammy Pack; and his stepgrandchild Jazelle Rice.
