He was predeceased by: his parents, Lellion Arnold and Doris Virginia Coefield; his wife Susan E. Coefield (Smith); and his brother Otis Coefield of Greenville, NC.. He is survived by: his children, Virginia "Ginger" Ellen McLynn (Jerry) of Somerville, NJ and Steven Benton Vaughn (B. J.) of Franklin, TN; and his brother Gail Freeman Coefield. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
