He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Myrtle and James; his brother Tom; his wife Ann; his daughter Jennifer Kelly (Dan); his grandchildren, Erin and Aidan Kelly; his son Jimmy Gilligan (Rebecca Ollert); his grandchildren, Olivia and Evan Gilligan; his son John Gilligan (Sarah Stassi); his grandson Miles Steger; and his sister Elizabeth "Betty Ann" (Brian Karsif).
Per the family's wishes, casual summer attire is requested for those that plan to attend and in lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Goshen United Methodist Church.
