He is survived by: his wife Joan Carpenter (Lattin) of Milton, DE; his children, Thomas Carpenter (Kim) of Southbury, James Carpenter (Julie) of Wilmington, DE, Aaron Carpenter (Linda) of Wilmington, DE and Caitlin Bell (Ben) of Wilmington, DE; his grandchildren, Megan, Caleb, Rachel, Ashley, James, Michael, Molly, Liam and Brady; his sister Sally Pennoyer (Ray) of Beacon Falls; and his sister-in-law Carol Carpenter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
