With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert McDonnell of Millsboro, Delaware, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, James McDonnell and Margaret Ann Weiler. He is survived by: his wife Dolores G. McDonnell (Foley); his children, Robert McDonnell, Jr. (Deborah) of Osceola Mills, PA and Dolores Ann "Lori" McDonnell of Philadelphia, PA; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Justin, MiKayla and Paige McDonnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church (30839 Mt Joy Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (32112 Vines Creek Rd, Dagsboro, DE 19939).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob's name to Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, 31738 Indian Mission Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966.
