He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Parker and Georgia Hopper Parker (Fox); his wife Cynthia Hopper (Richmond); his daughter Jill A. Hopper; and his brother William L. Hopper.

He is survived by: his son Derek R. Hopper (Victoria) of Ambler, PA; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew and Michael Hopper; and his brother George W. Hopper of Plainview, AR..
