He was predeceased by: his brother Michael. He is survived by: his wife Fay Nickerson Sweeney; his parents, Barbara J. Sweeney (Kat) and James F. Sweeney; his siblings, Philip W. Sweeney and Kate Sweeney-Simmons (Dave); his grandson Joey Bloothoofd; his children, Stefanie Desiderio (Tom) and Joe Bloothoofd (Courtney); his aunt Ginny Jacobs; and his close friend Phil Oyerly. He is also survived by several cousins and countless friends.
