He is survived by: his wife Gail Buckwalter Hagan; his children, Melissa Hagan-Alves (Rui Alves), Jonathan and Christopher Hagan; his sisters, Barbara Anne Hagan and Patricia Dumas; and his grandchildren, Zaria and Baraka Alves.
