He is survived by: his friends, Michael Skillings and Rich Broome; his wife Rosa; his children, Denise Ward (Delaware), Beatrice Ward (New Jersey), David Ward (New Jersey), Angela Sims (Arizona), Arnold Blunt (New York), Shelia McDuffie (New York), Pamela George (Georgia), Lewis Batts (Connecticut) and Andre Batts (New York); his sister Margaret Batts; his grandchildren, LaNasha, Ontayai, Jalayla, Angel, Zytaisha, Briana, Isaiah, Marissa, Michael, Natasha, Tiffany A., Nina (Joseph), Courtney, Tiffany M, Katrenna, Demetri, Whitney, Arru and Aiden; his great grandchildren, Nazir, Jasir, Oniya, Hamonii, Jaziyah, Armina, Alayiah, Zyarie, Zymoni, Rozyah, Alieem, Makhai, Mackenzi, Le'Michael, Judah and Jasiah; and his cousin Caroline Jackson (Uncle Jack).
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium (211 Washington St, Millsboro, DE 19966). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
