She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Scarborough and Betty Scarborough; her son Robert Bruce Whealton; and her brother Corbet Lee Scarborough. She is survived by: her husband John Whealton; her children, Richar Whealton (Myrna) and Sandy Whealton (Nyki); her grandchildren, Clara May Love (Drew), Kiara, Valencia, John and Jonathan Whealton; her great grandchild Zaira Love; her siblings, Ed Scarborough and Faith Ann Hartman; her aunt Audrey Leggs; and her close friend Constance Woody-Brown of Lincoln, NE.. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the funeral home, Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956, to help offset the costs of Brenda's final expenses.
