It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelva Jean Strayer of Milford, Delaware, born in Rainelle, West Virginia, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louris Osborne and Bessie Siers; and her husband Wayne Strayer. She is survived by: her sons, Scott Strayer and Douglas Strayer; her siblings, Ray Osborne, Bill Osborne, Rosalie Arentz, Hilda Staub, Stella King and Dee Whilford; her children, Stephen Strayer and Patricia Miele (Jeffrey); her sister Kay Chronister; her grandchildren, Melanie Waltmyer (Cory), Michelle Vogelsong (Jason), Justin Strayer, Joshua Strayer (Saylor) and Scott Strayer Jr. (Christina); her great grandchildren, Alicia, Keaton, Makayla, Zoe, Zander, Jace and Ethan; and her great great grandchild Raelyn.
