It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon E. Tschantre in Milford, Delaware, born in Cambridge, Maryland, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Emile Tschantre and Mary Cook Tschantre. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Mende Tschantre; his children, Joanne Tschantre Hyatt (Tommy) and Leon Eric Tschantre (Barbara) of Pottstown, PA; and his grandchildren, Lisa Michele Sehika, Steven Eric Goines, Jason Eric Tschantre and Kathryn Tschantre Hinchey. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Avenue United Methodist Church (20 Church St, Milford, DE 19963). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial contributions in his name to Delaware Hospice, Dover Office, 911 S DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901 or Milford Place Assisted Living, 500 S DuPont Hwy, Milford, DE 19963.
